beatrix-ong-2011.jpgIf you've set foot in a branch of Jaeger recently, you may already be salivating at the gorgeous new styles from Beatrix Ong, whose past successes include origami shoes; a true modern-day icon. A few of the styles are already in stock at selected branches, but the collection is being launched in full for the autumn winter season.

The shoes in this latest range have a far more ethereal feel than earlier styles, and are all about optical illusion and subtly shimmering glamour. There are high-vamped shoe boots decorated with a galaxy of tiny reflective elements, court shoes with flower embroidery and irregularly-shaped heels with an oil-slick finish.

Brightly coloured and jazzed-up flat shoes complete the collection, as is the case in so many of autumn and winter's ranges, from high end to high street. We think these brogues benefit really nicely from the distinctively delicate Beatrix Ong treatment.

We're also getting hugely excited about the bags, which are more prominent in the collection before, and include some absolutely gorgeous vintage-style trunks with a pretty shoe-print lining paper.

Look out for the full range in stores around early September.
