The Duchess of Cambridge had at least one wardrobe change on the seven-hour flight from London to Ottawa, as she emerged looking fresh as a daisy in a pretty patterned dress and a brand new pair of heels by - you've guessed it - L.K Bennett. She'd given fashion fans a bit of a surprise when she boarded the plane in a pair of black Manolo Blahniks, but having landed, she's back in familiar territory!

Her heels; a neutral taupe court shoe with a dainty platform, are a style called 'Andie' from L.K Bennett's current collection. Like much of Kate's wardrobe it's classic, safe and just a little bit fashion conscious to remind us all that Kate is a high street girl at heart.

Predictably enough, the taupe version of the shoe as worn by Kate as she disembarked from her plane has already sold out, but it's also available in dark red or black.

Wasting no time to get meeting-and-greeting real life Canadians, Kate and Wills headed straight to their first engagement: meeting a team of youth volunteers at Rideau Hall, the residence of the Canadian Governor-General. Kate changed into a pair of black wedges ; her all-time favourite style, for the duration of the visit.
