New York Fashion Week: J.Crew
J.Crew's New York Fashion Week show has received widespread praise, and just looking at the footwear it's easy to see why the colourful collection has so much appeal. Tailored perfectly to the garments, they are stunning examples of smart-casual styling at its best.
Very much a home-grown US company, J.Crew was originally a mail order catalogue, and in many ways this makes it all the more approachable, wearable and everyday practical. But this collection shows that it can punch far above its weight, too.
The shoes really need to be seen in the same context as the garments, so we've included a few images of them here.
We're also rapidly coming to the conclusion that if you don't have a pair of orange shoes (the bright sort, none of that wussy 'burnt' orange here) about your person by next summer, you're going to be a fashion nobody. Got that!?
