Mary Janes can take many forms, not just the traditional dancing style that the name tends to conjure up. Fendi have really pushed the boundaries with this style, and we absolutely love the structuring of the straps and the clever use of punched creamy leather.

There is definitely a reptile-like vibe to these shoes, which are actually made from ordinary cow leather but with an intricate laser-cut pattern that gives that slightly scaly impression. The heels are chunky and not to everybody's tastes, but I can see them working beautifully for a 1920s vintage fan or anyone who loves to dress up flapper-girl style.
