high-heeled-brogues.pngLove brogues but hate flat shoes? At 5"1 I'm certainly more comfortable with a bit of lift, so I was delighted when the preppy style started to gain a bit of height. D&G were responsible for the first high brogue shoe we drooled over, and since then, the high street has dutifully followed suit, with affordable high-heeled brogue boots and shoes for everyone. Hurrah!

Many of the heeled brogues have been adapted for the autumn/winter seaason, giving us some enclosed bootie styles that will be nice and snuggly in a cold snap. Shown above, clockwise from top left:

Zigi Soho 'Browse' boots: £80 at Schuh
'Ashley' tan brogue: £69.95 at Vegetarian Shoes
'Jeeves'
mid-heel brown brogues: £65 at Topshop
Carvela 'Assign
' boots: £120 at House of Fraser

Shoe-style brogues are also big business this season, and look great worn with a maxi skirt. We love these two styles from Bertie and M&S:Autograph collection; both super comfortable to wear and hitting all the right style notes for autumn. The M&S pair get a particular Shoewawa seal of approval for being made with Insolia technology, which makes the heels particularly easy on the feet.
