The idea is that you place them at the heel, giving the effect of a whole new shoe and reducing the need to pack additional evening-wear when planning a night out.

I'm completely torn on these objects: they do sound like an effortless way to dress up a pair of plain old pumps, but my experience of all shoe add-ons thus far has not been entirely positive: the quality is never quite up to the standard I'd expect on a standalone pair of shoes and more often than not, the fiddly little things get lost. Also, why not just use a pair of earrings? But for those more organised (and less snobby) than I, could these be a perfect party season solution?
