Aldo-rise-collection1.jpgALDO has been getting into designer collaborations in a big way recently, following their hugely popular Aldo x Christian Cota range of boots last year. Now, the worldwide chain has launched a bigger-scale project with a host of exciting designers, bringing their talent to a more accessible market. The shoes will go on sale exclusively from today at Selfridges.

The capsule collection called ALDO Rise includes pieces from Preen, JW Anderson, Mark Fast and Christian Cota, with all prices around the £135 mark. The stated aim of the project is to support 'daring talent', and the focus on mould-breaking and experimental design in the pieces certainly reflects that objective: we love the sling-back sandals pictured above which are by Preen: the block heel looks as thought it's been rotated on a horizontal axis, while the canvas 'sleeve' of the shoe has a complex pixelated and abstract print.

Shown above, 'Cregger' is one of the Mark Fast designs, which is available in four different colourways. The super high heeled court has a concealed platform and cut-out detailing around the front and sides. At £125 they're a great way to pick up a limited-edition designer style that could become a bit of a collector's piece in the future.
