Gallery: Our favourite desinger shoes from 2011
2011 was a vintage year for designer footwear! Click here to see all of our favourite styles.1. Christian Louboutin '8 Mignons'
It was a year of colour in footwear, and even designers with a standard palette like Louboutin went in for wilder shades.
2. Jimmy Choo 'Kershaw'
Our favourite mesh and jewel pump from Jimmy Choo's 2011 collection during Tamara Mellon's final days at the helm.
3. Miu Miu glitter boot in pink and silver
There were a few variations on Miu Miu's glitter and suede theme, but this is probably our favourite: the banana heel became a key trend in 2011 popularised by Lady Gaga and others - copied by millions.
4. Alexander McQueen S/S 2011 shoes with butterfly
These breathtaking gold-leaf shoes from Alexander McQueen's spring/summer 2011 collection were a masterpiece, and a fitting follow-up to the mind-blowing Armadillo shoes from the previous year.
5. Alexander McQueen lace-up long boots A/W 2012
Sarah Burton's collection for McQueen in 2011 was so good we couldn't limit ourselves to just one shoe. Here's a lace-up boot from the Autumn/Winter range.
6. Dolce & Gabbana piano heels
Where last year they had stars, this year they had jazzy piano keys on daintier, more ladylike shoes. A huge hit with the Shoewawa team.
7. Yves Saint Laurent's python wedges
YSL went into wedges in a bit way this year, and one of the label's most influential styles was this colourful python wedge. Plenty of copies on the high street now - count 'em!
8. United Nude x Iris Van Herpen 'Crystallization' boot
A ground-breaking style from the ultra modern label in collaboration with Iris Van Herpen. Soon became a hit with the Kardashians, Solonge Knowles and many more shoe-loving celebs.
