SAG-awards-michelle-williams.pngThe Screen Actors' Guild or SAG Awards took place in LA last night, with gongs for Viola Davis of The Help and Alec Baldwin of 30 rock amongst others. But once again we kept our eyes firmly on the stars' feet, out eyes almost obscenely focused on the yards of taffeta and silk that made up most of the female celebrities' dresses. Floor-sweepers are truly on trend, it seems, which is bad news for us shoe-gazers!

We were granted a glimpse of the footwear by at least two of the well-dressed ladies present however: Michelle Williams, who starred in My Week With Marilyn wore a show-stopping red Valentino dress, which was carried off perfectly by matching Roger Vivier 'Cage' sandals. The 31-year-old sported a short hairstyle that's becoming hugely popular among Hollywood stars.

Emma Stone, meanwhile, wore custom-made Alexander McQueen high heeled peep-toes to match her black prom dress. We love the girly prim and proper look of the shoes with their slim single strap, and think they match the dress perfectly. Now, let's hope to see a few more visible pairs of stunning heels at the Oscars! (Dream on.)
