shoedazzle-closing-down.pngSubscription styling site Shoedazzle UK has announced that it is to cease trading as of the end of this month. The site, which is fronted by Kim Kardashian and went head-to-head with rival Stylistpick when it launched in 2011, sent an email to its members this morning urging them to get on the site and start shopping, as the last day for orders will be 31 January - less than two weeks from today.

If you've signed up to the service, we'd certainly repeat that advice, particularly since all styles are now on sale at 50% off their original price. All memberships will cease after 31st January 2012, but the site has promised that any existing credits will be refunded to the credit or debit card associated with your account. Those who have 'stylepoints' on account can still use them, but these have no monetary value outside the site and will not be refunded to customers.

The owners of Shoedazzle said in a statement: "Despite the tremendous support that we've received here in the UK, we ultimately decided that at this time it was in our best interests to focus on the opportunities in our home market."
