kat-maconie-dune.jpgThe spring is set to bring a crop of fresh new designer X high street collaborations and none have excited us quite so much as a gorgeous little capsule collection by Kat Maconie for Dune. The award-winning British shoe designer, whose clients include Sienna Miller and Rosie Huntington-Whitely has brought her expertise and love of strong, clean lines to the well-known retailer with shoes priced at £75 to £165.

The shoes in this collection are absolutely beautiful: all incorporate a sunny-gold finish somewhere in the design, which is what Maconie refers to as 'Miami Art Deco': a subtle 1920s influence with an opulent and modern twist. Each piece in the collection is named after a different Ocean Drive hotel or bar, including celeb hangout 'Mynt', private member's club 'Soho Beach House', historic landmark 'The Betsey' and boutique hotel 'The Shore Club'.

Pops of gold pierce through the fuchsia pink, jet black and soft taupe suede making these ideal accessories for parties on warm summer nights. The collection won't be available in Dune stores till April, but we can't wait to see and try on the shoes as soon as they drop! Look out also for a lovely black evening bag with fan and metalwork detailing in this exciting new range.
