karlie-kloss-shoes.pngModels Chanel Iman and Karlie Kloss have both embraced the current trend for super-fine straps on minimalistic sandals, heading out to the Runway To Win Launch during New York Fashion Week. The pair teamed their streamlined dresses with chic strappy sandals both made from metallic gold-toned leather. We love both of these styles for their glamorous simplicity: showing how less is more when it comes to evening shoes this season.

Kloss has not always had a fantastic relationship with footwear as she famously took a tumble at Prada's Milan Fashion Week catwalk show back in 2008. Then aged just fifteen, the young model fell foul of some sky-scraper heels that clearly weren't made for walking. Kloss later admitted just how nervous she'd been backstage prior to the show, and we can't say we blame her!

Happily, she seems to have made a truce with shoes now, stepping out in these lovely slender sandals. Chanel Iman, meanwhile, wore some intriguing snake embellished sandals which are made by Roberto Cavalli: they're available on Net-a-Porter for £755; their high price at least in part justified by the gold-plated Swarovski crystals used to make them sparkle.
