mulberry-catwalk.pngWe've been a bit obsessed with Mulberry's shoes ever since they were first introduced a few seasons ago but our attention has waned more recently as the last collection failed to impress as much as its predecessors. Now, the shoes are back on our radar, as the brand embraces huge wedges and an interesting new take on the moccasin.

As is often true of Mulberry shoes, the material used to make them is the real 'hero' of the product, and all benefit from a good close-up inspection: we loved the fish-scale effect on the leather in both styles pictured below in particular. But the styling is also easy to fall in love with: the large tassels, decorated with tiny metallic studs pick up the light and look amazing on both wedge styles pictured below.

Mulberry held its autumn/winter 2012 catwalk show at London Fashion Week on Sunday, with a host of stars including Pixie Geldof in attendance. As is now traditional, the brand also designed the official LFW tote bag given free to attendees at the events: a black canvas shopper printed with gold "monster" detailing and the legend "I heart LFW" on the back. The design was a bit of a triumph, and for the first time I can remember they seemed to be out of them before all visitors had taken a badge.
