peter-pilotto-lfw2.jpgPeter Pilotto is now a firmly established highlight at London Fashion Week, so shoe-obsessed though we are here at Shoewawa, we have to admit more than a little excitement at seeing the wonderful long, printed dresses on display at this exciting show. But we got a good look at the footwear too which was made by another legend of modern British fashion: Nicholas Kirkwood.

Kirkwood had designed shoes for all the models in this show, with his trademark criss-cross style coming through strong, as well as some rather beautiful embellishment. The pointed-toe shoe-boots were zip fastened at the back, and allowed the superlong dresses to ride safely above ground level throughout the show.

Seen up close, the embellishment was made with beautiful iridescent mother-of-pearl gems, set into a silky satin fabric that glowed bright on the blue shoes and looked stunningly smart on the black. The look was finished by a contrasting trim. All complemented the dresses beautifully, with their bold prints and wild colour schemes - another winning collection from this exciting designer.
