floral-flatform-shoe.jpgWe're seeing a lot of style that look a bit like this appearing on the shelves at the moment, as the shops prepare themselves for a summer of maxi dresses and 70s laid-back chic. These sandals aren't flatforms in the truest sense, as there is definitely a bit of sloping going on and they have a scooped-out heel - but I suspect they will still be a little too flat for many Shoewawa readers, who generally prefer their heels to be above their toes...

However, we've swallowed plenty of fundamentally ugly shoe styles before without too much trouble (gladiator sandals, fitness shoes, Uggs) so are these heavy-soled styles about to steal our hearts with their deceptively easy-to-wear extra height and retro appeal? I'm not sure we'd want faux-snake leather and applique daisies in every case, but is this a look that's growing on you? (If so, they are from ASOS and will set you back £85). They're also called 'Hide and Seek' which is quite summery and cute...
