Espadrilles without heels by Stuart Weitzman
The latest development in the trend for shoes without heels is a summery one: Espadrilles! Stuart Weitzman has taken the look of the season and made it more seasonal with the addition of a raffia wedge to what is otherwise a classy and elegant summer sandal. The twisted honey tan leather is a real summer classic, but the jutting wedge adds edge!
This isn't a 'shoe without a heel' in what we've come to know as the classic sense: it's more of a scooped out wedge with a large chunk taken out from the back, but it's so front-heavy and so clearly influenced by the footwear closets of Lady Gaga et. al. that we think it can just about qualify as such. If nothing else, it is great news for those who want to wear the look this summer but know that they're never going to feel confident tottering about in a pair of sky-high, heel-free Jeffrey Campbells!
We think the 'classic with a twist' look works well here, and would love to team this shoe with the more neutral-toned clothes and natrual fibres that are around this summer alongside all the florals and neons.
Now available in Russell & Bromley stores nationwide, Stuart Weitzman is easy to track down here in the UK.
