Big, naturalistic florals are back on our shoes (and almost anything else we might wear) this season, but are you ready to welcome them into your wardrobe just yet? After years of stylised, cartoony flowers and patterns in general these photo-realistic prints are quite a change of direction, but labels like Sam Edelman are confident that they're the shape of things to come. I have to admit that I'm more than a little torn on this style.

Perhaps it's because I remember the 90s, and was never keen on this sort of styling last time it was 'in' - but something about the clever way that designers are using colour to subvert the patterns just a little this time around is really interesting. I'm not sure I'd rush out to buy this particular pair of sandals (not least because they are £135, here at ASOS) but I certainly wouldn't judge anyone who did!

Where do you stand on this look?
