Frugal Friday: Wedges that don't cost wodges
Wedges are a summer essential - this year perhaps more than ever before, so where can you get this look if you're on a budget? Fortunately, it's not a complicated style to get right, so plenty of high street stores are making wedges at very reasonable prices. Whether you're into the monochrome wedges like these striped-sole raffia ones from New Look (above, £24.99). They look very much like the more expensive ones you'll find at Marc Jacobs and elsewhere and will see you through the season in style. Check out some more variations at a similar price point here.
If you're looking for something a bit more colourful, this need not add any extra expense: on the contrary we also love this bright and cheery raffia style that's only £20 over at Boohoo. The choice of colours is really fresh and summery, and we're especially keen on the detail of the weaving on the top of the t-bar strap. It's little touches like this that make these shoes more attractive and look heaps more expensive than they actually are.
