versace-platforms.pngIf you want understated elegance, go somewhere else: Donatella is in the house!

This studded suede and mesh platform sandal is Versace it is most unapolagetic, extravagant best. Featuring a tall translucent sole with a sprinkling of studs to catch the light in all the right places, it's made for people who want to make their presence known, and who also happen to have a spare £1,120 knocking around to spend on seriously out-there footwear.

The built-up section at the front of the shoe reminds us a little of some of Jimmy Choo's recent work, but this style is a whole lot feistier and more substantial. It's a lot more elaborate too, with little flourishes here and there that add a complexity to the shoe that will only appeal to a certain luxe aesthetic: just check out those petal-shaped edges at the very top of the shoe.

Further down, that clear sole combines poledancer and ice queen style with a hint of darkness at the top. The gaps are filled with a heavy black mesh that will create beautiful patterns at the tops of the feet.
