Welcome to What's New in Shoes, 30th April 2012. Each Monday, we'll be bringing you a round-up of what's new in our favourite shops in the world of footwear, with a focus on the UK higstreet. Let's kick off with this week's offerings from Topshop...

topshop-toni-trainers.pngTopshop has released one of its best-selling trainer styles, the TONI hi-top in a selection of new pastel colours including mint, dove grey and apricot (pictured above). We're big fans of this style that blends comfort and fashion-forward style like nothing else, and represents fantastic value at just £26.99. Grab a pair of these super-lightweight summer trainers here!

Office has now deployed some of its hottest summer styles (it's nice to see someone being optimistic about the weather, even if it's a shop!) and we're already eyeing up these Kiss Chase pastel mix sandals. They are £70, and guaranteed to be a hit on dressed up, warm nights out. Bring them on!

River Island also has some interesting new footwear pieces this week, including these white peep-toe mules. We like the low-cut cuff detail, and the dalmation heels are a nice touch for those looking to make a statement. These shoes are £70 here, but we'd suggest checking out some of the cute Versace-style embellished slippers they've just brought in, too.

dorothy-perkins-espadrilles.pngDorothy Perkins has gone for another (and we think, rather neat) take on the popular block-colour filled wedge high espadrille look. This is an essential look this summer, and the store is selling it at £29 in black or peacock blue. Nice detailing on the plaited edge, which runs all the way up the side.
