As the long Jubilee Weekend approaches, we've never seen quite so many Union Jacks, crowns, buntings or other Royal motifs popping up in our streets, on the shops, on our clothes and - of course - our shoes. There's still time to get in on the act if you've only just been hit by this wave of patriotism, so we've put together some of our favourite Brit chic shoes, all available to buy on the high street before the weekend gets going. But if you're going to wear the flag on your feet, be careful where you walk: last week a town Mayor was called upon to remove a pair of Union Jack shoes she'd worn to display patriotic solidarity at a military parade in Warwick last week. According to a number of 'angry bystanders', the shoes (which were by Irregular Choice and very lovely) contravened protocol as it is forbidden to allow the flag to touch the ground unless it's done in the presence of the Queen herself!
