Trainer Tuesday: Mulberry's new trainers
You've got to love a shoe that's called 'Blurry Bloom' really, haven't you? That's what the shoe above is called and we think it's such a wonderfully playful and silly name. But on a more serious note, these are Mulberry's first ever trainers, so we were naturally curious to see what they looked like. And if you like what you see, you can pick up a pair either at Net or for £225 direct from Mulberry
The answer is a rugged but very weekend-chic hi-top, decorated in this case with a highly fashionable constellation-print blur. There are all sorts of fantastic colours and gradients bursting out of the fabric, which is all fabric making them an upmarket alternative to Converse and other baseball styles. They've got a branded sole at the bottom too, so you'll know they're the real deal!
If you're already falling for the silhouette, it seems the Mulberry are already keen to roll it out in a number of patterns and colours, and for summer 2012 you can choose from a host of cute styles with equally imaginative names: look out for Scribbly floral mixed with Ditzy Daisy, studded black or snowball white or the truly amazing Tiger Print Haircalf (check it out here).
