TK-maxx-charing-cross.pngAnyone who shops for shoes in London will be pleased to hear that the Charing Cross Road branch of TK Maxx has expanded - opening up its basement to create a whole new floor. And to what have they dedicated that new floor? Footwear! This means there'll be room for many more shoes and boots at up to 60% off RRP, while an exciting new homewear department has taken the place of the old smaller shoe department on the first floor.

The new shoe floor, which opened to the public at 9am this morning, holds more than 5,500 pieces and has men's, women's and kids' shoes, as well as a separate 'active' section for trainers and sports shoes. Currently there's a good crop of Hunter wellies and some great going-out shoes from Steve Madden, Giuseppe Zanotti and many more popular designers and brands. In keeping with TK Maxx's usual policy, stock is refreshed daily, with thousands of new shoes hitting the shelves at each delivery.

We're certainly looking forward to spending time in the new department, which is much roomier than the old footwear section that until this week had shared a floor with lingerie, accessories and toiletries. And, of course, to checking out the new homeware area that's replaced it!
