topshop-bow-heels.pngIf you've been swept up by the injection of prim-and-proper style that's been coming at us from all directions (much like the rain) over Jubilee weekend, you might be interested in these pointy Topshop numbers that definitely have something of the Queen about them - but their bright colouring and ultra-high heels make them more like the Queen on Acid than the Queen processing down the Thames on a floral barge...

The pencil-heeled courts are called 'Glow' and will cost you £50 here in pink or neon yellow. For non-leather shoes they're a little on the costly side, but Topshop regulars will be used to the pricing. What makes the shoes more than your average high street fare is the addition of a perspex bow, which gives them a much more prominent fashion edge: replaced with an opaque one it would make the shoes look far more generic.

These shoes will go with almost anything you'll find sold alongside them this summer, from bleached denim to long grungy skirts and girly tea-dresses. Embrace the acid colours and don't be afraid to experiment.
