Charlotte Olympia gets flowered up
She could once have been accused of relying a little too heavily on her distinctive silhouettes, but Charlotte Olympia Dellal is now experimenting with print a lot at the moment and we're loving the results! After last month's pale pink tropical prints, we're seeing some absolutely glorious floral patterns, and this black-based design is particularly lovely. Seen up close, the label's name and logo is incorporated into the print, which makes it even more special. Click on the image above to take a closer look!
Even better, these shoes (which are appropriately enough called 'Flora') have the most adorable little red crepe flowers perching on their heel and toe, which pick up the red leather piping around the edges and ankle strap; the soles are made from lacquered pale wood. Matching these shoes with an outfit would be a bit of a feat; you'd have to wear them with plain colour and make them the star of the show - but there are plenty of shades you could match them with: black, red, green or beige would all work. If you must have them, they are £845 over at Net-a-Porter.
We're really enjoying the evolution of this young designer's style, and can't wait to see what inspires her next!
