We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but with mid-July rapidly approaching and not a whiff of a dry day in sight, it's starting to look like summer has been well and truly rained off. The most obvious reactions to this situation are to (a) cry and (b) trade in your summer sandals for festival wellies - regardless of whether you're actually planning to visit Latitude, Bestival or any other muddy events.
Many of the high street stores have come a bit of a cropper this season, having stocked up on way too many minimal summer shoes, but we're quite impressed by Cloggs' solution to the problem, which deals very neatly with the problem of 'unsettled' British weather. They've created a whole new site dedicated to stylish festival wellies, including brands like Hunter and Diesel, some much lower prices than what you'll find on the high street. Surely if anything good can come out of this awful weather, it's the chance to buy some quality rainproof boots you'll actually want to be seen in!
