stratford-shoe.jpgIf you really want to show your support for Team GB in style, you need to get behind British brands that are making stunning shoes right here in Blighty. Thought shoes were all manufactured in the Far East nowadays? It's time to learn about the labels that design, make and sell their shoes right here in the UK...

One of our favourite British brands is Yull shoes, whose classy women's styles are all made in Britain after production was moved from China earlier in the year. All pieces in the collection are named after recognisably British icons, and the multi-coloured shoe pictured above is called the Stratford, to commemorate the Olympics. You can buy it here for £110, and check out all the other beautiful styles with inspiration from Ascot to Windsor while you're at it!

Here's Yull's 'Hoxton' style: a cheeky peep-toe with a hipster edge! They are priced at £65, which we think is amazing value for a shoe that's British through and through.

We can also recommend these very special Union Jack shoes by Gina, available now from Harrods. The head-turning heels are made with Swarovski crystals for a sparkling finish and a slingback/peep toe combo for hot summer nights. They are £875; a price that reflects their craftsmanship (all Gina shoes are hand-made in England), materials and highly limited edition nature!

The 'Drew' style is just one of the luxe pieces currently available at Harrods from Gina's collection, and it's well worth checking out the rest if you go in for high-octane glamour: think Judith Leiber with fewer animals! With the patriotic spirit still in our systems, we are also loving the 'Lizzie' platform shoe, which features the union jack at the back of the heel.

For those unfamiliar with the Gina label, this exclusive range of shoes is hand-made right here in London, and has plenty more to covet. Check out the brand's website for more inspiration!
