Shoewawa Loves: Pollini flatforms
We've seen many examples of the flatform shoe this summer - more than we've probably ever seen in our lives - so we're getting a good idea of what we look for in this love-it-or-hate-it style. We're very much in the 'love' camp for these substantial shoes by Pollini, which are available from Farfetch and have shot right to the top of our wishlists for autumn/winter 2012.
Priced at £514, they are no light-hearted purchase, but these are the sort of shoes that transform - giving entire outfits an immediate style lift. There's something wonderfully dark and a little bit 'Batgirl Chic' about them that we simply can't resist, and the woven detailing on the soles is divine.
The main body of the shoe is made from a soft suede, with high-gloss, hard wearing leather panelling around the edge. We love the spiky 'wings' it creates along the side of the shoe, and the softly rounded laces that all work together to give them real class. Pollini, we salute you!
