Jessica Chastain rocks Alexander McQueen and Louboutin heels
Jessica Chastain, Oscar-nominated star of The Help has been in the spotlight this week after appearing on a New York chat show to talk about her hotly-tipped Broadway debut in The Heiress, which opens this autumn. The actress wore a dazzling and colourful outfit to the event, featuring a figure-hugging red Alexander McQueen dress - but the real stars of the show were her Christian Louboutin heels.
The shoes, which appear to be a vamped-up version of Louboutin's Appliqué 140, provided a crazy counterpoint to Chastain's lipstick red dress and added a touch of fashion savvy style to the whole ensemble. We love the way the colours work together, particularly the bold peacock green along the front of the strap. Seen up close, the effect is created through a paisley pattern of turquoise and blue on silk: the quality of the fabric is what brings the shimmer.
This is a lovely style for A/W 2012, picking up on the trend for sturdier heels and platforms, with an unmistakable note of Louboutin glamour.
