Shoes of 2012: Nike free-running shoes

We frequently said that 2012 was shaping up to be 'the year of the trainer' and with three of them featuring in our top 10, it's impossible to deny that sport-inspired footwear was a huge fashion fixture. Inspired by Olympic athletes or perhaps just looking for an ultra-lightweight shoe that looks great, many got into Nike's free-running trainers, whose unique bendy sole allows a high degree of flexibility and grip. We loved some of their colour schemes and patterns, too.
