The Japanese art of Origami has been an influence in shoe design for a while now, most notably as in Beatrix Ong's beautiful and delicate corsage decorations. It continues to be a footwear fad in 2013, and we spotted it most recently in these bold two-tone sandals from Balenciaga. They're available to buy now at Matches Fashion, for the princely sum of £545.

We're not entirely sure what to make of this look: the colour way is certainly a hit: buttery tan and denim mid-blue are great summer colours that will look hot as part of your subtly seventies-inspired S/S 2013 look. The flat sole and simple heel are right on trend for the season's simplistic style obsession. But do you like the flared 'floral' section at the front? There is something a little bit alien and not so delicate about it - but we're leaving it to you to decide their merit. Yay or nay?
