Following on from successful collaborations with Kat Maconie and Olivia Rubin, Dune has joined forces with one of the hottest emerging shoe design talents around: Joanne Stoker, whose striking and highly colourful shoes have impressed and inspired us since she started up her label in 2011.

I took a trip to Dune's HQ today to have a first glimpse at the collection, which as before will fuse designer style with high street prices.

These flat sandals are among my favourites from the range, which takes its inspiration from Art Deco and seaside towns (the designer namechecks Blackpool, Brighton and Coney Island). I love the way the two looks have come together, with bright candy colours lighting up the angular, geometric motifs. There's plenty of glitter too, and I think it looks particularly fabulous against the navy blue suede.

The seasons hottest trends all get referenced too, with sloping wedges, flats soles and thick ankle straps a-plenty:

joanne stoker for dune.jpgJoanne Stoker, whose previous collections have included incredible fan-like creations in luminous colours, block heeled pumps and heel-less boots, completed a mentorship at Jimmy Choo before setting up her label two years ago. She also worked with Matthew Williamson in his recent London Fasihion Week show.

There are also two bags in the collection (a clutch and a large-sized tote bag) that echo the shoes' designs beautifully. I particularly love the highly glitter-embellished tote bag pictured below:

The collection will drop in stores in April, with prices starting at £70.
