Taken from Isabel Marant's spring/summer 2013 collection, these 'Carol' studded sandals are exactly the sort of thing that fail to grab me at all on an initial look, then draw me right back in again. There's something about these shoes that I feel will be very much in line with the coming season's whims, and furthermore I love the 'floral' effect created by the studding...

The shoes are a rather boho-inspired treatment of the current season's style obsessions: simple, single-soled fronts and basic toe-straps, block heels and lots of built-up structure at the back. These shoes are remarkable in that there is almost nothing at all happening around the toe area, but a huge amount of interest in the studded leather section, which extents almost as high as the calf.

Have I just gone a little crazy in falling for these shoes or are you inspired by them too? It's probably fair to say that they only really come into their own when worn, so it's worth having a look at the model shots, too.
