Taylor Swift rocks the Brits in Giuseppe Zanotti
The romantic tryst between Taylor Swift and Harry Styles was on many viewers' minds as both singers rocked up at the Brit Awards last night - with a few awkward cuts to the One Direction star as his ex-girlfriend took to the stage to perform Trouble, a song allegedly all about him. Ouch!
But we have little interest in salacious gossip here at Shoewawa: as usual it's all about the footwear, so as soon as Swift appeared, we were squinting underneath that floor-length Elie Saab gown to check out the goods...
Peeping out from under the yards of fabric were these gleaming gold 'snake' style high heeled sandals, which are by king of the razzle-dazzle, Giuseppe Zanotti. Composed of a minimal suede base with open sides, a slender stiletto and almost completely flat sole, the shoes were a great choice to see Swift safely on to the stage to present the first award of the night, going to Emeli Sande.
Later on, as part of her raunchy on-stage leather look, Swift changed into some absolutely incredible knee-high boots that were capped with dazzling glitter. We haven't managed to track down their designer yet, but we suspect Zanotti's hand in these as well, partly due to the sheer amount of sparkle and pizazz - they looked as though they'd been dipped in glitter! Here they are again:
