LK Bennett has been a hot name on everyone's lips these past few seasons, particularly with the endorsement it has received from the Duchess of Cambridge, who has been seen wearing its nude patent heels and espadrille wedges on numerous occasions. We were delighted to receive an invitation to view the brand's newest collection for Autumn/Winter 2013, which takes the footwear in some new and exciting directions.

Those hoping for more of the same plain, patent heels are in for a bit of a shock next season, as the incoming LK Bennett shoes represent quite a departure from the classic and sometimes 'safe' silhouettes we've become so used to. Gone are the rounded toes, soft platforms and shiny surfaces: instead we're seeing an influx of ultra-long pointed toes, high-sided courts, swirling metallic straps and the advent of the 'kitty' heel: the shortest and stubbiest little kitten heel you've ever seen.

Alongside these statement-making pieces, there is a wealth of everyday-wearable ankle booties, calf-length boots and classic party pieces. There's also a subtle nod to the oriental theme that will be making itself known in all its glory by the autumn.
