Casual Friday: Taylor Swift-inspired polkadot Keds
I've been a die-hard Keds fan ever since the original American sneakers first made a foothold on our shores, but the dotty shoes from this season's collection really knocks spots (if you'll pardon the pun) off everything that's come before. Available from Schuh, there is a wide range of plain and patterned styles available to buy now, with prices starting at £35.
How awesome are these bright red low-cut shoes? They look seriously cute with cut-off jeans, and the combination of colours with the tan trim is just perfect for summer:
The polkadot print shoes are also available in baby blue and other pastel shades, making them an easy fit for your summer wardrobe. As with all Keds shoes, they are made up in the classic lo-cut sneaker shape with the custom features that make them special: neatly finished tan trim edges to avoid rubbing and provide that unmistakable summery look, a bouncy cushioned insole for maximum comfort when wearing on bare feet and a slimline sporty sole.
I'm wearing my Keds with jeans today, basically because the British summer is once again refusing to play ball. But I'm pretty sure that as soon as it bucks its ideas up and we get a bit of sun I'll be rocking these with swishy black skirts and tight body-con numbers, too. The low cut uppers mean these shoes can work for you in either context.
