The now heavily pregnant
Kate Middleton followed in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, as she went to formally name a ship (as one does, in this line of work) just a few weeks from her due date. The ship is to be called the Royal Princess - a coincidence that will no doubt only serve to stoke the fires of speculation as to the sex of the newest addition to the Royal family.

Beginning to look herself much like a ship in full sail, the Duchess wore a chic dalmatian-print mac from Hobbs, teamed with a black fascinator and a pair of matching heels. The shoes the same height we've come to expect from Kate, who is clearly determined to avoid cliches of maternity chic for the entire duration of her pregnancy - on public appearances at least!

On that note, this is expected to be Kate's last solo appearance before the Big Day in July, but Royal watchers may not need to wait too long to see the Royal bump again soon, as she's expected to join other members of the family at the Trooping the Colour.
