As our sister site Catwalk Queen reported, London Fashion Week favourite Mary Katrantzou has earned the name "Mary Katrantshoe" this season, thanks to the absolutely incredible printed footwear worn by her models in her S/S 2014 catwalk presentation on Sunday. Looking closely at the shoes, we can see that Katrantzou has used the heels to echo the floral patterns on her garments, and the result is a triumph:

Mary Katrantzou florals at London Fashion Week

The shoes were mainly lace-up shoe boots with a rugged, industrial looking tread with an almost trainer-like quality that contrasts with the soft, flirty feel of the florals. This is a look we can hope to see filtering down to the hish street next season, so get ready for an array of colourful patterns printed on to serious looking boots. We can also expect to see plenty more pretty prints appearing on sports shoes - and probably some exciting designer/sportswear collaborations as well,

But what about the way these models wore Mary's shoes with the flared minis - is this a look you'd want to embrace? Skater skirts seem in no hurry to slope off just yet, and in Mary's world they look great teamed with a pair of casual, embellished kicks.
