Statement heels are still going strong and I love the stems on these substantial platform courts by L'Autre Chose.
Seen from a distance, the bejewelled heels just look shiny and bold, but when you zoom in you can see that the detailing is an intricately coiled chain pattern. The blue gemstones add extra sparkle, and give the shoes a real Art Deco appeal.
Boohoo.com is by no means a new entry into the buzzy world on online retailing. Peaking from behind ASOS.com with it's cheap and cheerful range of clothing and accessories, the brand is slowly emerging as a strong contender for my shopping sprees.
Their shoe ranges in particular have significantly improved. Take these silver Ashleen Twist Front Zip Platforms (£35) There is something a little bit Kurt Geiger about them.
All of the pieces are named after the celebrities whose style they imitate. Guess which Beth the next ones are named after...
You'd expect a rock chick like Agy to have suitably crazy shoes, and the one label you can rely upon for kookiness is Irregular Choice. Sounds like a match made in heaven!
Agy certainly looks like she might reach the sky in the label's 'Flashing Lights' boot; a beautifully sculpted style that really sets off her hard-edged, biker chick look.
Karen Millen has produced some of the most exciting styles available on the high street in recent months, with a collection of shoes and boots that are anything but dull. We wanted to give a pair away to one lucky Shoewawa reader but were faced with something of a dilemma: with so many great styles on offer, which one would we choose?
To solve the problem, we're giving you the chance to pick out the style you like best from this season's collection. And ff your entry is chosen, a pair of your favourite style will soon be yours. So to be in with a chance, simply reply below with your name, email address (will not be visible on the site) and a link to the Karen Millen shoe or boot you love best, and we'll be in touch if you're successful. Competition closes on 16th Nov.
We appreciate that L.A.M.B shoes need to be worn with a certain...attitude, but what do you think of these irregular patchwork design on these sky high court shoes? I'm torn between admiring their non-conformist style and thinking that all those mixed up patterns look a bit of an eyesore.
I can see how this 'look' could work in an Alexander McQueen, reworked fabric sort of way, but somehow don't think I'd want to part with £289 for them. What do you think?
In the couple of years they've been around, Vivienne Westwood's 'Dragon Lady' shoes - rendered in lickable rubber by Melissa - have already reached cult classic status. The dainty shoes, with their have proven irresistible to fashionistas and are already available in several colour combinations.
But now the style has been given an interesting new twist, with the iconic heart replaced by other motifs, including a giant gold bauble and wax seal shape, featuring the Vivienne Westwood logo. I'm pleased that the overall design of the shoe has not been meddled with too much, and will be interested to see how these new variants on the style catch on.
Pewter is a shade that seems to work particularly well on shoes, providing shine and intrigue without straying too far into 'bling' territory. There's plenty of pewter on the catwalks this season, and even more on the high street, which is where we found these styles. Seen from top left, clockwise:
