Mrs Brushshoe - more expensive than an actual shoe

shoe-brush.jpgDon't worry - this isn't Ugly Shoe of the Week come early. It's not a shoe at all, in fact: it's a shoe brush, and hey, we all need shoe brushes to keep our precious footwear collections looking their best, don't we? Well, that's what I thought - until I looked at the price of Mrs Brushshoe here and realised that for $230 I could actually get a pretty decent pair of shoes: or several pairs, if I were to hit up New Look. As cute as Mrs Brushshoe is, I think I'd rather have the shoes themselves, thanks very much. What about you?

Sparkly shoe brooches from Pugster and Mr Jewellery

p1460large.jpg

Perfect for those days when it's too wet for sparkly shoes (or you just don't have a good enough reason to wear them), but you still want to add a pair to your outfit, these brooches will brighten up a black dress, boring sweater or anything else you want to attach them too. The red "Dorothy" shoe pictured is $10.95 from Mr Jewellery, while the purple shoe is $13.99 from Pugster: cheap enough for you to have some money left over for real shoes!

New shoes cure the blues, says this bangle by Jessica Kagan Cushman

MG_6063l.jpg'New shoes cure the blues'. Was ever a truer word spoken? I'm a huge fan of Jessica Kagan Cushman's range of 'bon mot' bangles, which come with sayings such as 'Don't make me release the flying monkeys' and 'You can agree with me or you can be wrong', as well as the shoe-related one featured here. These bangles will cost you $130, while some of the thinner styles start from $79. Will they cure the blues as well as a new pair of shoes, though, I wonder?

Shoe and handbag tic-tac-toe set

NMH25DV_mn.jpgFancy a game of tic-tac-toe? Well, you may as well play with pieces that reflect your biggest obsessions, and for me that would have to be shoes and handbags, so it's lucky that this little set from Neiman Marcus features exactly that. The pieces are silver plated and dotted with rhinestones, but the price isn't too expensive for all that - just $65 for a game that will allow you to have fun with your love of shoes.

Paul Smith's charm necklace for shoe and bag lovers

paulsmithcharm-thumb-200x25.jpgShoes and handbags. They go together like peep toes and stiletto heels. And now they've come together on this cute Paul Smith charm necklace, spotted over at The Bag Lady. At £55 it'll cost as much as a pair of shoes themselves, but at least you'll be able to wear it with just about every outfit!

'It's a Shoe Thing' - shoe shaped bottle opener

11021NAShoeThingBOL.jpg

Opinions on shoe-shaped gifts and accessories tends to be split here at Shoewawa, with some readers loving all things shoe-related, and others preferring just to stick to the shoes themselves, thanks very much. If you're in the former group, or have a friend who is, this shoe shaped bottle opener could be the perfect small gift. It's chrome, with three small rhinestones set into it, and while it's not going to be any use for wearing, if you have a special occasion coming up (these are actually being sold as wedding favours), it could be a nice finishing touch.

Crocs make cellphone cases: shoe lovers mourn

crocs=phone-case.jpgBrace yourselves, people. You may have hoped that the Crocs craze was dying a slow death (how much longer can people think plastic shoes are stylish, after all?) but this week our sister site, Shiny Shiny, brings us tidings of the Crocs mobile phone case: where will this madness end?

As you can see from the image, the case is basically a Croc for your phone. It comes complete with "heel strap", to keep the phone safe, and can even be accessorised with 'Jibbitz' charms, just like the real thing. There's also a panel at the back which you can use to store your credit cards and important documents, showing that, just like the shoes, the Croc phone case is useful, but not remotely stylish.

It'll be available soon in Europe only, and will cost £6.95.
