"Ms S, I crave a wellington boot that is glamorous and blends with my vintage-chic winter coat. I've searched high and low but all I find are hideous fluorescent patterned numbers or floral hell. As an extra challenge, im slightly more well endowed in the calf department so slim fitting wellies are a no-no. The heel would need to be a typical welly-sized heel as I need to walk to work (2 miles!)" - Lou
First of all I'm sure you've tried Hunter, who are like the Manolo of wellies, as worn by every model to ever visit a music festival. I also found some good styles by Tretorn at WellieArt for £45. The girly lipstick ones would set off black and white a treat, while the 'American Sweetheart' ones come emblazoned with a Vargas-esque illustration. They're printed, but not so crazy as some of the Pucci-like styles around. Faux fur trimmed wellies are very Marc Jacobs but will set you back a little less at £35 from Funky Wellington Boots. And finally if none of these float your boat, the girls at I Am Fashion did a great post on rain shoes.
Check out this picture of Kate Moss and Kelly Osbourne at the O2 wireless festival. I thought festivals were all about wellies, but Ms Moss is doing it in style with those bright red stiletto boots, which you lot have already been asking about. Personally I’d like to know how she manages to walk across the grass in such heels...but this is Kate. She doesn't need to follow the rules. Gemma spoke of red boots a while back, but here’s a more recent pair from Schuh at Viva La Diva (£74.99) in case this trend is still one you wish to adopt – if Kate’s in them, then they must still be cool, right?! "I travel a lot for work and need some comfy shoes to fly in. Like you I never wear trainers and I wouldn't be caught dead in mum-shoes, flip-flops just aren't suitable and ballet flats are a bit flimsy. Any ideas?" - Fliss
Ah, the age old question of what to wear to 'go' in. There are plenty of flight shoes around but they are always a bit mumsy. I tend to fly in either canvas plimsolls or a pair of mocassins with bows on, but if you want to look a bit smarter, I've just discovered these beauties at Debenhams which I think would be perfect. You've got all the style and comfort of a ballet pump but with a sturdier looking sole. They're £35 from J by Jasper Conran. Bargain!
Hurrah! Finally after four months, Gemma has hunted down Jennifer Aniston's much sought-after 'Ida' boots from the Sundance Film Festival which everyone seemed to want. They're actually the patent leather version, but they're still Yves Saint Laurent and they're (yep, you guessed it) still expensive... $1,025 to be exact! For me, I'm not too jazzed on the whole patent leather look, but for those who so desperately needed a pair not that long ago, this may be the closest you're going to get. They're available now at Bergdorf's in chocolate (not black as they appear in our image). Well done Gem... that's another impossible-to-find shoe case solved!
It's a dark, miserable night and you're walking home when a dodgy looking bloke comes up behind you. What's a girl to do? Whip out her pepper spray? Sound her rape alarm? How about taking him down with 100,000 volts of electricity via a stun gun carefully concealed in her shoes? It sounds crazy, but that's the theory behind the Electric Cinderella Shoe. A matching necklace acts as the trigger button, igniting a spark in the toe to warn attackers to back off. If they don't, breaking the tip of the shoe will reveal the real weapon. It's just a prototype at the moment, but it may well go into production if the right backer comes along. It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'killer heels', doesn't it?

Around this time of year, I get a lot of emails from brides to be searching for shoes to go with their dream dresses. I'm more than happy to help, but if you don't alreayd know, we've got a whole blog devoted to brides and an editor who's far better on the wedding shoe front than I am. So when this request came in, I forwarded it straight on to Camilla...
"I'm in desperate need for shoes for my wedding in July. I am looking for D'Orsay style (I think) and about a 3"-4" heel. The problem is, that my dress is a sort of nude/cafe latte/oyster colour and all the bridal shoes seem to be white or cream or too gold." - Donna

"I am desperate for some grey United Nude Eamz Eva Pumps, but can't find any in my size (5 UK) The only ones I can find are on Zappos, who don't ship to the UK! Please, please can you help?" - Grace
Grace, I've searched high and low and as far as I can see, the UK based online stockists of United Nude seem to have sold out of your size (in an evil twist of fate No Flys On Us have everything but a 5). I'd suggest you go straight to the source. If you're in London, United Nude have a shop at 124 Bermondsey Street, SE1 3TX. You can give them a call on 020 7407 3758 to check stock before trecking into town, and I'm sure if you can't get to the big smoke they might be able to work something out for you.
