Can you please, please, please help me find these boots: Winnie by KG. They are sold out on the Kurt Geiger website. I am looking for them in Black in a size 5/6. I spotted them on Asos.com but they only have them in brown. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I am in Dublin – but could get someone to get them for me in London or Belfast - Olivia
I think you're going to have to hit the phones, here. Kurt Geiger don't have stockists in Ireland, but they are stocked in lots of London stores, including House of Fraser, Harrods, Fenwicks, Selfridges and Liberty, to name but a few. The problem you'll have here is that most of these don't offer online shopping (excpet House of Fraser, which only has a limited range - and no shoes!) which is where the phone comes in! You'll find a list of all London stockists at the Kurt Gieger site, and I'm afraid it's then a case of ringing round and asking if any have the boots in your size.

Hello Shoewawa,
Please help, I am due to take a holiday to California in December/January. As every day will be spent walking, shopping, exploring, I will need some flat boots to wear to go over or under jeans. I do like Uggs but am wondering if they are completely out of fashion now and what would be my most fashionable alternative? - Cassie
As much as some of our readers will hate to hear this, Ugg boots are actually going through a bit of a renaissance in popularity this winter, and lots of stores on the high street are doing their own, super-cheap, copies. Personally, I say that if you like them, get them - rarely has there been a better time to pick up a pair of cheap lookalikes which you can get a winter's wear out of before dumping!

"Please can you help me find what appears to be this seasons ‘it’ shoe – I have seen it on Gwen Stefani, J.Lo, Jamelia and now Victoria Beckham. They are black platforms with a small peep toe, and a white stiletto heel. I don’t care how much they cost, I just need them!" - Gemma
The shoe you're after is from Yves Saint Laurent, and is called the 'Tribute'. It comes in a few variations, with various heel heights, platforms and uppers. Because it is such an 'it' shoe it's proving quite elusive in terms of online shopping (Yves Saint Laurent is not particularly easy to find online anyway) and I could only find them in red at Luisa Via Roma for €470. You may have more luck at a YSL boutique, instore at Browns or at a department store that stocks the brand. Expect a wait and a hefty price tag though, celeb style never comes cheap!
Ms Shoewawa, I am in DESPERATE need of a pair of gold / silver / bronze sandals to wear in my role of maid of honour at a beach wedding in May. Despite having money to throw at the problem - in the region of about £250/300 - I cannot find a pair. I have UK size 9 feet (US 12). Sometimes I can fit a European 42, but more often than not, designers come up small. I'd love something in the style of Jimmy Choo / Manolos...all the size 9 shoes I find are more frumpy than fabulous. I would even consider getting a pair made, but have no idea where to start! - Erica
Well Erica, I do love a challenge, so I've been on the case trying to find something to suit...

I still get in a fair few requests from people looking for bridal footwear, and after getting yet another today, I thought it was only fair to remind you that we have a sister site devoted entirely to your bridal woes (and Camilla and her crew are far more likely to get round to answering your question than I am). Bridalwave covers everything from picking the perfect flowers to writing unforgettable vows. And for those of us not getting hitched any time soon, there are plenty of frock horrors that make our ugly shoes pale in comparison.

The platform doesn't look set to leave us any time soon, and I've had a fair few emails asking for some affordable platform ankle boots. It's a look which still reminds me a little too much of the wannabe goths at my school, but I'm here to serve, so for those of you wanting to try the look these are subtle enough to stop you looking like a glam rocker. They're $59 at Spiegel, and also come in chocolate brown.
I recently found a pair of grey suede pixie boots on ebay which I absolutely ADORE! Unfortunately I was outbid. I saw a pic on your website of the grey suede ankle boots from Topshop which I also thought were very cute. Could you please, please help me find them or anything that is remotely similar. I have searched everywhere on line with no luck. - Alexi
They may not be suede, but Report's 'Rosetta' ankle boots are the right colour and very similar in shape to the Topshop boots. You could probably fold over the top to make them shorter pixie boots too. They're $172.95 at Nordstrom. The Lulu Guinness roundabout booties have a cute little drawstring ankle detail and come in grey suede for $428 at Anthropologie. They also do a wedge boot with a foldover top for $118. Finally, if you're willing to sacrifice colour for shape, the black Dolce Vita boots are almost identical to the ones you sent me a picture of, and will set you back $230 at Shopbop.
"Ms S, I crave a wellington boot that is glamorous and blends with my vintage-chic winter coat. I've searched high and low but all I find are hideous fluorescent patterned numbers or floral hell. As an extra challenge, im slightly more well endowed in the calf department so slim fitting wellies are a no-no. The heel would need to be a typical welly-sized heel as I need to walk to work (2 miles!)" - Lou
First of all I'm sure you've tried Hunter, who are like the Manolo of wellies, as worn by every model to ever visit a music festival. I also found some good styles by Tretorn at WellieArt for £45. The girly lipstick ones would set off black and white a treat, while the 'American Sweetheart' ones come emblazoned with a Vargas-esque illustration. They're printed, but not so crazy as some of the Pucci-like styles around. Faux fur trimmed wellies are very Marc Jacobs but will set you back a little less at £35 from Funky Wellington Boots. And finally if none of these float your boat, the girls at I Am Fashion did a great post on rain shoes.
Check out this picture of Kate Moss and Kelly Osbourne at the O2 wireless festival. I thought festivals were all about wellies, but Ms Moss is doing it in style with those bright red stiletto boots, which you lot have already been asking about. Personally I’d like to know how she manages to walk across the grass in such heels...but this is Kate. She doesn't need to follow the rules. Gemma spoke of red boots a while back, but here’s a more recent pair from Schuh at Viva La Diva (£74.99) in case this trend is still one you wish to adopt – if Kate’s in them, then they must still be cool, right?! [Rachel Arthur]
"I travel a lot for work and need some comfy shoes to fly in. Like you I never wear trainers and I wouldn't be caught dead in mum-shoes, flip-flops just aren't suitable and ballet flats are a bit flimsy. Any ideas?" - Fliss
Ah, the age old question of what to wear to 'go' in. There are plenty of flight shoes around but they are always a bit mumsy. I tend to fly in either canvas plimsolls or a pair of mocassins with bows on, but if you want to look a bit smarter, I've just discovered these beauties at Debenhams which I think would be perfect. You've got all the style and comfort of a ballet pump but with a sturdier looking sole. They're £35 from J by Jasper Conran. Bargain!
