Ever since Coco before Chanel hit our screens there's been a huge revival in all things sophisticated, refined and chic.
The fashion house itself is notoriously disapproving of attempts to copy the brand's signature style, but one has to admit that thanks to Chanel's minimalism, it's not rocket science. You'll lose out on quality if you got for 'homages' like these quilted ankle boots from New Look, but if you're a keen bargain shopper you'll also get to reference the style while it's hot for just £25.

Peacocks really do sell some unfathomably cheap shoes, don't they?
Personally I'd be a bit worried about wearing a pair of party shoes that cost just £20; not only out of fear that the heels would bend like toys after an hour's wearing, but because I'm concerned about ethical production. But assuming nobody way hurt in the making of them, these strappy glitter heels are probably about the cheapest way you can adopt this season's key trends. £20 at Peacocks

These classic summer sandals by Christian Lacroix are the sort of shoes I can imagine dusting off every summer for years to come, so neutral and versatile are they.
Delicate straps contrast prettily on bold, nautical stripes for a look that will work a treat with summer dresses or crop trousers, and let's not forget that with this stonking less-than-half price sale you'll be getting a pair of Lacroix shoes for less than 100 quid. And in my career as a shoe-junkie, I don't think I've seen that before! The designer may be struggling financially, recently pulling off what could be his last haute couture show, but that doesn't make his creations any less timeless. £95 at Yoox.

Crafty Crafty have noted that shoe-decorating is a hugely popular passtime at the moment, and I've seen some quite extraordinary transformations happen to the most ordinary pieces of footwear. My favourite shoe embellisher of all time has got to be Miss Bunny, who works wonders with shoes - turning boring old Primark and Peacocks pumps into showstopping shoes that are fit for the red carpet!

I love this sophisticated, two-tone high sandal by Moda in Pelle. The trendy platform makes it an ideal shoe for the summer, while the soft leather should keep your feet from expiring as you scoot about in the heat.
If you're as taken with the shoe as I am, the good news is that it's part of a sale currently on at shoe-shop.co.uk where you'll also find bargains galore from Poetic License, Ravel, Red or Dead and more. This pair and their yellow counterpart have had £20 shaved off and are now on sale at £60.

These tall sandals by Office were £55 not so very long ago, but both the black and silver styles have just been reduced to £20 making them an excellent summer bargain, especially with so much of the season still left to go!
I've picked out both shades here as I think the two styles would work well for different occasions; the black being ideal for daytime wear with floaty skirts, capri pants or shorts. The silver will bring a bit of extra glam to your wardrobe that will translate well into eveningwear. The cork-soled look is still very much in, so grab this bargain while it's there in store or online.

'Epic' is one word I'd use to describe these tall, multi-strap gladiators from Nine West but thanks to a huge sale going on across all brands at the Shoe Studio, the price is anything but. Reduced from £75, they're now £45 and with plenty of the season left for you to stomp around in them, I think that's a pretty good deal.
If you love the gladiator look but don't really 'do' flat shoes, a style like this certainly ticks the right boxes.
