When it comes to bargains, it's easy to fall into the trap of throwing some cash at a passing trend in footwear - I'm sure we can all testify to this! But if spare cash is hard to come by in your purse, purchasing a more simply-styled bargain is best! These pointy black heels are classic without being boring - the credit for which goes to the snake print base. An easy heel for work, but easily tarted up for a weekend; they're on sale for £15 down from £25 at ASOS.

It's not just gingham that gets an airing come spring; nautical-inspired stripes are being trotted out a-plenty as well! These peep-toes from New Look aren't fantastically original, but they're not breaking any style rules either; and when paired with skinny jeans or a flirty spring dress, they're the sort of shoe that will make a very chic statement. If you're holding out for a great spring basic (available in red-white or black-white), they're very reasonable at £20.

We're pretty fond of patent here at Shoewawa; and when it's metallic patent? Just you watch us empty our bank accounts! Fortunately, this pair is a Bargain Tuesday offering, so we'd have to buy multiples in every colour to send us broke. With its mini-peep, nice high heel and teensy bow on the toe, we love them right down to the £20 price tag! Grab your pair(s) at New Look!

I had a bit of a giggle when I saw that Barratts had named these shoes 'Chastity' - tarted-up-and-on-the-town would be a much more appropriate alternative! In fabulous, disco-esque glitter, these fuschia heels are certainly incongruous with the visions of convents and nuns' habits that 'Chastity' implies. A great year-round party heel - glitter's not just for Christmas, you know! Our Tuesday bargain is just £20 from Barratts.

Irregular Choice have always been a bit of a risqué choice ‘round here, but don’t you think that the print on these heels is exquisite? Reminiscent of the gorgeous, decadent colours of a peacock’s tail feathers, even the slightly odd shape can’t detract from their beauty. Aptly named ‘Titania’ - and I can quite imagine the Queen of Faeries happily flitting about in these! - they’re reduced to £38.50 from £55 at the Irregular Choice store.

French Connection have probably been best known for their ubiquitous sequin dress over the past year, but I think we should be paying a bit of lip service to their fabulous footwear instead. Case in point, these stunning peep-toes. In classic black and with a very elegant shape, it's the metallic gold knot detail on the vamp that really catches one's eye. A party heel that will last you years, but easily dressed down if you're more 'casual glam', they're a bargain £45 down from £80 at Red Direct.

Marks and Spencer aren't usually known for their bargains, but it seems that there's a change in the wind. First, we had a lovely pair of red patent courts, and now these snake-print stunners. In a style that would work well as a glamorous day shoe and even better for evenings on the town, we love them for their Mary Jane strap and peep-toe detail (two of our favourite things!). Also available in pewter and patent red, they're just £19.50 from M&S!
