Colour combinations in footwear are really upping the anti at the moment. In particular, these pair of grey brogue platforms contrasted with patent cherry heel and toe, are a brilliant match.
They are by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and give a new twist to the massively popular brogue trend of 2007-08. Don't let the 12.5cm chunky heel turn you off either, they would make a great versatile pair for the coming months. Pick them up via My-wardrobe.com for £310.

I love the delicate edging on these pretty, high-heeled court shoes by Faith.
The red-tinted sole and heel give a contemporary twist to what could otherwise look like a very classic style, while the white lacing gives great contrast on the front of the shoe. This is a style that would double up nicely for party or office wear.

I'm aware that these sandals are a little geriatric to say the least but try to look beyond the OAP stylings and you'll find an appealing shoe.
The cutout wedge heel has a space age/minimalist feel to it which contrasts nicely with the brogue detailing on the the upper. What's more they're only $8 from I Love Parrot Kisses, a true bargain!

I was stopped in my tracks while out shopping yesterday; mesmerised by a pair of these incredibly striking high heeled brogues by quirky designer Minna Parikka.
You need to see these shoes up close to really appreciate their beauty (click on the thumbnail for a bigger picture), as I think it's the contrast of the shiny, cherry red leather against the puckered, lizard effect tan uppers that accounts for a lot of their charm. Minna Parikka shoes are currently only available in the UK in a few London boutiques, but if you can afford the £198 price tag, getting there should not be a problem!

How cute are these Miu Miu style ballet flats? They're from New Look which means they're a lot cheaper than actual Miu Miu (only £20) and although I've had my fill of Miu Miu 'homages' these ones are quirky enough to pass muster.
Snap them up instead of a pair of sandals this summer, and they'll be your constant stylish companion come rain, shine, hail or whatever else the British summer tries to throw at us!

I don't like to even think about boots during the summer months, but the joy of the shoe boot is that it can be worn all year round, and these tan leather "shoots" from New Look could still be useful at this time of year with jeans and dresses - or just because you're tired of summer shoes! The pale coloured leather will make these easy to wear with most colours, and the £25 price is rather nice too. The only snag is that these are in very low stock in the website, so if you can't wait until winter to slip back into some shoe boots, you may want to have a look for them in-store.

Rubber brogues might seem like a weird idea but in fact they make the perfect festival shoe, they're waterproof, two-tone and feature brogue detailing... What more could you want? Provided your festival isn't completely washed out Melissa's brogues (£50) will be miles better than printed wellies (so over it!) and Hunters (too try hard).
Team them with cosy woolly tights for warmth when the sun goes down and a two-tone dress with a Peter Pan collar for a Broadway-inspired outfit that will turn heads.
