Forget gladiators, forget statement platforms, the shoe to be seen in at the moment is the, wait for it... gold ankle boot (!?) Well, it certainly seems that way considering two of the UK's hippest, hoppest (yeah, I know that's not a real word) peeps in the public eye have been seen out and about wearing them in recent times - lady-magnet Noel Fielding and The Kills' Alison Mosshart.
While not necessarily a shoe I'd be getting a lot of wear out of this summer (although, to state the obvious, in the UK you just never know do you?), it does add a certain amount of 'cool-factor' to your basic black-jeans-and-a-tee outfit. I love how Alison has also chucked on the leopard print coat for extra cool points. When I started writing this post, I wasn't sure whether or not to point out the biggest clue in this photo. With it, you'd still have to know what's been going on in the land of all things celebrity to know who it is. And without it, well, I don't think you'd have a hope in guessing! So onwards to the clue... The lady donning these ruby red patent heels was celebrating something very exciting: being awarded her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Yay, a shoe-wearing guessing game for a sunny Wednesday afternoon! This might be a little trickier than expected, considering three out of the four celebrities attending the LA Film Festival screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, chose nude or metallic heels to go with their outfits - only one dressed down somewhat with the bleached jeans and patent platforms. Have a go though and see if you can figure out which shoes belong to (left to right): Aubrey O'Day, Kristin Cavallari, Ciara and Vanessa Minnillo.
I know you're probably looking at me right now with an incredulous look on your face - "why would I want to get that look!?" is what your jaw-dropping, boggle-eyed face is telling me.
Don't worry, I'm not about to tell you where to get that (really rather shameless) gold lamé bodysuit. Instead, I wanted to draw attention to the shoes Katie Price is wearing as she galavants around Ibiza. Because unlike the rest of her getup, they are actually quite nice (if teamed with the right outfit, of course).
An intriguing design, Topshop have classed the 'Wanda' as a wedge. But they also have a little heel and platform whacked on the bottom too. The mixed metallics make them a great choice for summer and hey, would even work well in Ibiza if you wish to take them clubbing. Bodysuit is optional (we wouldn't recommend it!) I've been seeing these amazingly cool boots crop up on Sienna Miller for a while now, pairing them with everything from airport outfits (above left) to hitting the red carpet (right). They're obviously a shoe wardrobe favourite of hers - it's not particularly hard to see why - and I've been hearing from a few of you who would like to track down a pair of your own. Apparently, Sienna's are apparently from Russell & Bromley, but I have also heard that despite restocking this style twice, they have now completely sold out. Ahh, an easy one for you today. I say easy, because really, how many people do you know who would wear mint-coloured, velvet-textured, thigh-high boots? Yep, thought so. The lady in question recently split with her hubby and has been back hitting the town in a very big way - in fact, of all places, she took these boots for a spin in the party-capital of Ibiza last night!

From the gorgeous YSL cage shoes to the Louboutin sparklers, we are raging with jealousy and wishing we had *that* shoe room to go home to every day (although we might lay off the hot pink shoes if it was ours). While the plugging of her numerous product lines is a bit icky, it's not going to stop us from recommending this vid to anyone who is even the slightest bit curious about what the wardrobe of Ms Hilton looks like.
