They always say one of the sneaky secrets to making your legs look longer is to wear a pair of heels which match your skin tone - thus, creating the illusion of extended pins. I've been hearing this amazing tip for years, but, crazily, am yet to add a pair of nude stilettos to my collection (and with my short legs, I'm not sure why I haven't already?!)
Obviously, this celebrity pictured above has caught on to this little trick too, but she's clever enough to actually put it into practice (and does it very well, might we add). So who is this lady with excellent fashion knowledge - and a mighty enviable tan?

There are usually pages and pages in your favourite womens mags devoted to the unfortunate event of one celeb being spotted wearing the same outfit as another celeb. Alongside these are usually lots of 'who wore it better' polls and snarky criticism thrust upon the unlucky one who 'loses'. We've decided not to do that here at Shoewawa, as first of all, we like to think of ourselves as nice people. Oh yes, and we are too busy concentrating on the shoes! So our question is going to be slightly different - which shoes completed the outfit better?
Kristin Cavallari chose some nude-coloured wooden heel platforms to go with her slasher body con dress, lending it a bit of a beachy vibe. On the other hand, Heather Graham sexed hers up even further thanks to these black strappy sandals. Which looks better? Vote below and let us know.
I believe this is the second time we have showcased these particular shoes in our 'Guess whose shoes?' feature, but obviously they're a different colour from the last pair (worn by Sandra Oh) and hey, it's a different 'sleb sporting them, too. I mentioned that I couldn't imagine many others wearing them (and wear them well), but this lady has proven me wrong on both accounts.
Whoever owns these pretty gold shoes, also has a gorgeously golden tan and the prettiest pedicure I've seen in ages, and is making me insanely jealous right now! Gold and metallics in general are a good choice heading into the warmer season and adding some pale pink toenails and a bit of golden shimmer to your pins will help to emphasise your tan and give your outfit a glitzy, glowing touch.
Who is the gal who knows all of this already? Read on to find out.
Here's another example of those open-toe booties-slash-sandals I was talking about earlier in the week, this time worn by a mystery celeb who might have had her opinion on these shoes changed by Rachel Bilson - much like mine was. Hers are a different variation again, more like a cross between an ankle boot and a flip flop, but even still, they lend themselves to a certain rock chick vibe which is perfect for this lass. Who is it?
"It was me, my team and Sarah Jessica Parker, who is also shoe crazy. She is crazy about every shoe ever created for her to wear -- so it became a thing. They didn't write the show for fashion, but they realized it was the hook and latched on to it."
[So now we know who to blame for the shoe fever which swept across the world circa SATC. As told to a summit conference and relayed via WWD, May 18 2009.]
"I love accessories," she revealed after working on a project with shoe guru, Jonathan Kelsey. "And I'd love to have my own line."
The pair recently collaborated on the Belvie bag in conjunction with Belvedere Vodka. It features a secret pocket to hold a vodka bottle. Just what every girl needs!
