Ever since we heard that Jimmy Choo was designing a more affordable line for H&M we have been sitting on the edge of our seats for what he will come up with. Now, a sneak peek of the collection, which also includes clothes and accessories, has come to our attention and the shoes... well, they ain't bad at all. I'm loving the strappy two tone heels, studded shoe boots, and animal print stilettos. Can Tamara Mellon make the line a hit? We'll see... The range is available in stores on 14 November.

Marc Jacobs has gone for the clonky look with these heavy-bottomed pumps that look like they'd probably withstand an ice age. The heels are very Lanvin-esque (and more than a little nineties) but I'm starting to get used to that now. What's really interesting about these shoes is the industrial looking hexagonal pin that's holding the patent bow firmly in place; a hard/soft touch that's red hot right now. The toe and heel caps are also a flourishing trend.
I can imagine these shoes being a good investment for anyone who's obliged to wear a suit or dress formally but likes to show a little character and experimentation. They could be dressed up or down and are terribly chic. Find them at Harvey Nichs for £295

I love Fridays, but I love Christian Louboutin shoes even more - so I simply couldn't resist combining the two and bringing you these two classic and wonderful shoes from the King of Heels, both of which have recently been re-launched.
Louboutin has said that both iconic styles - which were partly responsible for sending his career into orbit - were influenced by Princess Diana, because he always wanted her 'to have love at her feet'. It's an adorable sentiment, but my only concern with actually wearing these would be the amount of foot-love bordering on worship they might invite...

Rupert Sanderson really excells at taking classic styles and getting them absolutely spot-on for today's fickle customer - and you're looking at a great example of what I mean. The shape of this fabulous shoe has been tweaked just enough to give it a hint of sexiness without going crazy with cut-out bits and embellishments, with more than enough decoration provided by the all-over print.
The 'leopard print' pattern is pretty subtle, with a result that looks to me more like polished stone. Just imagine that worn against some of this season's deep red tights! I'm melting...

Alexander McQueen's love affair with the Dallas era lives on as he brings out another line of footwear and accessories in houndstooth fabric. I have to say, I think the print works particularly well on ankle boots, but it's the pointed toes and - again - the interestingly pinched heel that mark these out as quality footwear.
It would be a shame to wear these boots without fully 'buying in' to the glam lifestyle look, I think, and they'd certainly look their best as part of a sharp, besuited outfit with plenty of oversized jewellery pieces and some black leather thrown into the mix. I expect copies of this style from almost every highstreet retailer, but suspect that anything other than the real deal will look a bit naff. Le'ts wait and see!

We're seeing a lot of these open-sided high sandals at the moment, and I think they look especially striking when set off by multiple studs or, as in this case, rivets.
Azzedina Alaia's signature spikiness is in evidence here, and they've given them a high, rounded top that reminds me a bit of Prada's magnificent Roman Centurion shoes. These shoes come with a price tag of £1,035 that's pretty stratospheric even for Browns, but let's face it: this is a style that can be easily referenced, and once again I refer you to ALdo's 'Gurette' as a cheaper alternative in the same vein.
Now September is here, I'm hugely excited about London Fashion Week and have been boning up on the last set of catwalk collections to get me in the mood. Footwear is important on any catwalk, regardless of the designer, as it's the first thing front row spectators will see, so it has to be big, bold and exciting - and designers are determined not to disappoint!
Pictured here are Christian Dior's fabulous lace-up shoes featuring one of the season's key footwear trend: the 'wonky' heel. I expect to see more examples of this new statement heel from the 18th!
