What do you get if you cross a plimsoll with a boat shoe? Well, add a dash of gold and you get Faith's 'Athai' shoes - a slightly odd combination, to be sure, but one that grows on me the more I look at it. These have been reduced to £15 in the current sale, and are also available in plain white. I think they could be great casual shoes for the summer, working well with shorts and jeans - what do you think of them?

The problem with plimsolls is that, comfortable and cute though they are, they can make you feel like you're back at school and ready for gym class. Not these ones, though. Faith's Kalik pumps are what happened when the school plimsoll grew up and decided that, actually, it would quite like a bit of a makeover. An animal print makeover.
This is the leopard print version, but they're also available in zebra (and a few other, non-animal prints besides) so chose your animal, hand over your £15 and forget all about that gym class...

Don't these look like the comfiest ballet flats around? I must admit these sandals (£15, Office) are kind of hideous, but I love them!
They are exact replicas of the cheap elastic sandals which were all the rage in the early '90s, usually worn with calf length leggings and baggy tie-dyed t-shirts. I spent many an hour of my youth debating whether to have the back strap over or under the second toe strap --bear in mind this was before the advent of the internet!
So in conclusion, yes they are pretty shocking looking but for the sheer nostalgia factor I shall be snapping up a pair for lounging about on my holiday.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Mouse flats seem to be available every season in a different style with this seasons choice seemingly a simple ballet flat with the mouse detail drawn in. Ideal for the girl who loves the Mouse flat but didn't like the pop-up ears and coloured nose. Did I mention these leather flats are also at least $100 cheaper than it's predecessors at $250, making it almost affordable for Marc by Marc Jacobs ballet flats.

Ladybirds and shoes seem to have had a long flirtation, but these printed fabric shoes by Miss Selfridge are some of the cutest I've seen.
The Mary Jane pumps have a simple strap and black piping around the printed fabric. Sure, they remind me a bit of the things I used to toddle around in when I was four, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of nostalgia in moderation. Particularly when it sets you back a mere £10.

I'm always on the look out for pretty and chic flats since I walk practically everywhere and lugging a pair of spare shoes around is often not an option with my small-ish handbag. I'm loving these BCBGirls Betty peep toe flats for just $89. Made from gold liquid metallic leather in contrasting gold stripe detail which eventually lead into fold over detail at the toe, they're quite unique and perfect to take from work into an evening look.
