Wow. I can't quite decide whether I like these or not, but either way, they're a pretty spectacular shoe! They come in either the bright pink shown or black, and are $795 at Neiman Marcus. I'm reserving judgement until I get to see someone wearing them, or even get to try them out for myself, to see how comfortable they are, but they have a real "look at me!" feel about that meant I just had to feature them!

I started to get concerned earlier this year, when Victoria Beckham was spotted in a loose-fitting t-shirt, a pair of baggy jeans, and flip-flops (pictured right)... I know, flip-flops! Not exactly her usual clobber.
Now, the Spice Girl has offered an explanation for her flip-flop wearing ways, blaming the lifestyle of Los Angeles on her decision swap her stilettos for more practical footwear.
"I have a pair of flip-flops now," she reveals. "I went to Disneyland and I was wearing the flip-flops with some baggy jeans from the new dVb men's collection. I so rarely wear flat shoes and everyone went crazy, but the last time I went to Disneyland I wore heels and it was incredibly uncomfortable running around after the kids."
"I don't own a pair of flat shoes. I don't ever wear ballerina pumps, not my sort of thing," she added.
I beg to differ, I think this casual look works well on her for a change, do you?

Yes, I know summer's technically "over" now, but hey, the summer hemisphere is just warming up, so here's a pair of pretty yellow sandals from Moschino to brighten up your weekends. These are also available in orange, and both colours are so citrusy and cheerful they'll add a welcome dash of colour even on a grey day. The cute little roses finish them off perfectly and will draw all eyes instantly to your feet - which is probably a good thing given that these cost $280.95, no?

Here is a light bulb moment for the books. A mother-of-three has come up with a simple way for you to change your shoe colour without having to buy a new pair of shoes. Bernie Hurst-Crossley of Worthing, West Sussex developed the idea of a zip section, allowing the wearer to add different shades of fabrics. She first came up with the concept on holiday, when she was forced to pay £125 excess baggage charge for having ten pairs of shoes in her luggage. Now Nooshooz has been born, a new range complete with stiletto, flip flops and wedge styles, priced between £80 and £155, they're available from September. For more info, visit: www.nooshooz.co.uk

Seeing as we've been refusing to let summer die at Shoewawa today, I thought I may as well show you these gold leather gladiator sandals from Accessorize, which I think are some of the nicest gladiators I've seen this season. The simple style and soft gold leather will make these really easy to wear, and unlike the various multi-strap and high leg gladiators we've been seeing around, which didn't seem to find much favour with many of our readers, I think these will work with everything from shorts, skirts and dresses to jeans.
At £25, they're also not too expensive to buy now and stow away for next year.

Casual Friday doesn't have to mean raking through the bargain bin: these jewelled thong sandals by Giuseppe Zanotti are the luxe (very luxe) way to do "casual", although at £415, you're going to need to wear them on more than just the odd Friday here and there to really get your money's worth.
These will also be great on vacation, with that oversized purple jewel allowing you to dress them up or down as desired. For that price, though, I'd be really wary about leaving them lying around on the beach while you take a dip in the sea...

So you start your day off wearing some pretty cool-looking trainers, but by midday, the heat has turned up several notches - you're sweating, your feet are sweating and you're generally just not a happy chappy. Or how about that day you glanced outside your bedroom window to see the sun streaming down, so chose to wear a pair of summer-worthy sandals to work. Unfortunately, (because it's the UK and all) by mid-afternoon, you can bet it's pelting down rain and you still have to navigate your way home around all those puddles...
Just as well you had these two-in-one shoes from Nat-2, which means you're prepared for any situation. Retailing at Wild Goose in Twickenham for £59.99, they can be mixed and matched with other Nat-2 styles. What do you think - good idea or silly idea?
